Certification in Solar Encapsulant Supply
Module manufacturers sourcing encapsulant films require documentation that supports their own quality management systems and module certification programmes. This typically includes product technical datasheets, material safety data sheets, and evidence of quality management system certification at the encapsulant manufacturer.

IEC 61215 / IEC 61730 Module Certification
Held by Module ManufacturerThese certifications are obtained by the module manufacturer for the complete module assembly. Pinkcity Solar Films supplies encapsulant films as a component. Module manufacturers conducting IEC 61215/61730 qualification testing may request material documentation to support their certification process.
Relevant Industry Standards
The following standards are relevant to solar encapsulant films and photovoltaic module manufacturing. This section describes the standards — it does not constitute a claim of certification or compliance unless explicitly stated in the certification status section below.
The primary module-level qualification standard. Encapsulant films are components within a module that undergoes IEC 61215 testing. Encapsulant performance contributes to module pass/fail outcomes in damp heat, thermal cycling, and UV preconditioning tests. Certification to IEC 61215 is held by the module manufacturer, not the encapsulant supplier.
Module safety qualification standard. Encapsulant electrical insulation properties are relevant to IEC 61730 compliance. Certification is held by the module manufacturer.
Quality management system standard applicable to manufacturing organisations. ISO 9001 certification at the encapsulant manufacturer level provides assurance of documented quality processes, incoming material controls, and production consistency.
Relevant for modules deployed in agricultural environments. Encapsulant material properties contribute to module performance in ammonia exposure testing.
