Solar Encapsulation Films & Sheets
Encapsulation materials for photovoltaic module production — standard EVA and advanced EVA–POE–EVA multilayer formats.
What Encapsulation Films Do
Encapsulation films are the polymer layers laminated directly around photovoltaic cells during module assembly. They bond the cell stack to the front glass and rear backsheet, provide electrical insulation, and protect cells from moisture, mechanical stress, and UV exposure over the module service life.
Film selection affects module efficiency retention, long-term durability, and compatibility with specific cell technologies. Pinkcity Solar Films manufactures two encapsulant product lines to address different module design requirements.
PINKCITY SOLAR EPE SHEET
Advanced multilayer encapsulant for high-efficiency and bifacial module designs.
The PINKCITY SOLAR EPE SHEET is a three-layer co-extruded encapsulant film combining EVA outer layers with a POE core. The structure is designed to address the performance requirements of bifacial modules, high-efficiency cell architectures, and large-format wafer formats where standard single-layer EVA may present limitations.
- Bifacial PV modules
- TOPCon cell modules
- HJT cell modules
- Large-format wafer modules (M10, G12)
- High-power module formats
Detailed dimensional specifications, thickness tolerances, peel strength values, and optical transmission data are available in the product technical datasheet. Contact us to request the current datasheet.
PINKCITY SOLAR EVA FILM
Reliable single-layer EVA encapsulation for conventional module production lines.
The PINKCITY SOLAR EVA FILM is a single-layer ethylene-vinyl acetate encapsulant film for conventional photovoltaic module manufacturing. It is suited to standard PERC cell module production and established lamination processes.
- Standard PERC cell modules
- Conventional module production lines
- Monofacial module formats
Dimensional specifications, VA content, cross-linking parameters, and optical data are available in the product technical datasheet. Contact us to request the current datasheet.
Choosing Between EVA and EPE
The right encapsulant depends on module design, cell technology, and deployment environment. The table below outlines the primary structural and application differences between the two product lines.
This table describes structural and application characteristics. Measured performance values for Pinkcity products are available in the respective technical datasheets.
| Property | Solar EVA Film | Solar EPE Sheet |
|---|---|---|
| Structure | Single-layer EVA | Three-layer EVA–POE–EVA co-extrusion |
| Primary application | Conventional PERC module production | Bifacial, TOPCon, HJT, and large-format modules |
| Moisture barrier | Standard EVA water vapour transmission | Reduced WVTR from POE core layer |
| PID consideration | Standard EVA acetic acid generation at cell interface | POE core reduces acetic acid generation at cell interface |
| Lamination process | Compatible with standard lamination equipment and parameters | Compatible with standard lamination equipment; process parameters available in datasheet |
